[ In an ideal situation, this would all be an amicable alliance and this kind of thing wouldn't be necessary, of course.

But how often has anything here been ideal for them? ]

( He said he wasn't planning on starting anything, because, you know. That was the first question I asked. )

[ And that, at least, didn't ping Sam as bullshit, but he's pretty sure the problem with Kylo Ren is less about what he plans to do and more about what he...winds up doing. ]

Sam's a teenager. He gets how teenagers operate, and Kylo Ren is, as far as he can tell so far, the world's oldest teenager. ]

( Besides, his actions by the tournament parlor have drawn too much attention. Going anywhere with him will create additional problems. )

[Truthfully, she can keep going with the flaws in this plan.]

( Yeah, I...kind of get the feeling he doesn't know the meaning of "subtle"? )

[ Which is slightly hypocritical, coming from someone who's routinely accompanied by explosions in half the places he goes and who's brought down a few alien attacks on Earth (even if never on purpose), but Sam's able to put a lid on it here and there. If he and Rocket, of all people, could refrain from shooting their way into Oblitus, he figures he's at least slightly ahead here. ]
